    SOUTH CONGAREE, S.C. (WIS) - A shooting that happened over the weekend in Lexington County seriously injured a man. It happened Saturday night in the 500 block of Ramblin Road near South Cove Drive, the police department confirmed. One man was shot several times in the torso, Chief Josh Shumpert said.     South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – Citizens of the Town of South Congaree came together Saturday morning to spruce up the town’s major thoroughfares to make the town look better and foster civic pride. In several hours, the small team cut grass, trimmed back ditch banks, and picked up litter discarded by careless motorists.     South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – South Congaree Police Chief Josh Shumpert says he and his staff, along with crime scene technicians from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, have gathered enough facts and evidence after Saturday night’s shooting to present their findings to the solicitor’s office.   • Three of the liquor store Smash & Dash burglars in custody

    South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – Investigator Washington of the South Congaree Police Department said Friday that as of January 17th, 2020, three of the Smash and Dash liquor store burglars who robbed multiple shops across the Midlands had been taken into custody. Several were caught in Richland County after a car chase and one was recently arrested in Berkley County where he is jailed.
